Scotty McCreery stops concert to kick out man who allegedly hit woman

Country singer Scotty McCreery, best known as the winner of the 10th season of “American Idol,” canceled a performance in Colorado over the weekend after he witnessed a man allegedly hitting a woman in the audience.

“Hey, hey, hey! Right here. That's the bitch you just hit,” the “Dumb Straight” singer, 30, can be heard saying. In a video posted on Facebook by Saturday concert-goer Jessica Rosario.

McCreery had just begun singing a few words of “It Matters to Her” at the Colorado State Fair in Pueblo when the incident occurred. McCreery said earlier in the video that the song is his wife, Gabbi Dugal's, favorite song.

As he spoke up, the band immediately stopped playing and the crowd could be heard to gasp in shock.

“Absolutely not. Who hit the woman?” McCreary asked. “Police, security. Is she OK?”

The “I Love You This Big” singer then chased the man away, telling him to “get the hell out of here.”

Fans cheered, and McCreery seemed like he never expected someone to do that at his show.

“What are you doing?” the man asked as he was led away, to boos and shouts.

A few minutes later, McCreery was back in action, but not without landing one final jab.

“Hit a woman wherever you are, you're the definition of a coward,” the “Feelin' It” singer told his fans, who responded with applause and cheers. “Just get the hell outta here!”

Rosario responded to the incident in the caption of the now-viral video, writing, “People can't act right!”Man hits woman at Scotty McCreery concert [a shame]🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

She then praised McCreery for booting the suspect, concluding, “Kudos to Mr. McCreery for taking the show off the hook and booting the suspect.”

Colorado State Fair spokesperson Olga Robach confirmed to Page Six that an investigation is ongoing, but no arrests have been made at this time.

A rep for McCreary also told Page Six they couldn't comment at this time, and the country singer hasn't released a statement about what happened on social media.
