A shocking video shows a California liquor store clerk being forced to pull out his gun to defend himself from a group of young men who attacked him as he tried to enter the store.
On Saturday afternoon, a group of teenage and young adult men on bicycles gathered at Golden Hours liquor store in Oakland. Conflict For employees: Daily Mail Reported.
In a video posted to Instagram, a bearded, sunglasses-wearing store worker was seen trying to disperse a crowd of several dozen bikers when one assailant slapped him, knocking his hat off, and another, wearing a balaclava, ambushed him from behind.
Laughter and cheers erupted from the unruly group as more men charged at the worker, who appeared defenseless but brandished a pistol, sending the crowd fleeing.
A different angle of the incident, posted by the same Instagram user, shows the store employee chasing several people before returning to his spot at the front of the store to protect it from the remaining stragglers.
The Oakland Police Department Daily Mail Officers were dispatched to a suspected shooting in the area around 4:15 p.m., but no one was injured.
No shots are seen being fired in the video, and it is unclear if the shooting was fired by the unidentified store employee.
According to the media, no arrests have been made.
