NYPD searching for pack of NYC teen girls who randomly attack 76-year-old man on Brooklyn subway platform

A group of teenage girls randomly attacked an older man on a Brooklyn subway platform early Monday, with at least one of the assailants hitting the victim with a scooter, cops and law enforcement officials said.

Authorities said the 76-year-old man was lying on a bench at the Rockaway Avenue subway station when five suspects assaulted him, punching and kicking him in the head, around 2:10 a.m.

One of the assailants swung a scooter at the man's head on the platform of the northbound C Line, sources said, describing it as an unprovoked attack.

Police are searching for a group of teenage girls who allegedly attacked an elderly man on a Brooklyn subway platform early Monday morning.

Police say the suspect is believed to be between 16 and 20 years old.

There were six young women in the group, five of whom police say took part in the attack, after which they all fled the station on foot.

The victim was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

The NYPD released surveillance camera images of five people, including a suspect dressed all in black, riding a scooter on the station platform.

Authorities are offering a reward of up to $3,500 for the arrest of the gang.
