ClaimHollywood star Barbra Streisand has slammed former President Donald Trump for holding a “photo-op” event at Arlington National Cemetery this week, claiming that he violated rules banning such activities there.
In her X post on Wednesday, she also spread the “idiot and loser” hoax, which has long been debunked, to further smear Trump.
verdictFalse. The Trump campaign said it had been invited by the Abby Gates Gold Star Families group to attend a memorial service on Monday honoring 13 U.S. service members killed during the Biden-Harris administration's 2021 withdrawal from Afghanistan.
The campaign also said it had received permission to bring its own photographer to Arlington.

Some members of Gold Star families who attended Monday's event released statements confirming the campaign's statement.

Barbra Streisand also tried to revive the long-discredited “idiots and losers” myth.
Democrats are using allies of Hollywood heavyweights like Streisand and Jeffrey Wright to change the media tone around Trump's Arlington visit as it reminds voters of one of the darkest chapters in recent U.S. military history: the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan under the Biden-Harris administration in 2021.
Neither Kamala Harris nor Joe Biden attended Monday's memorial in Arlington. President Biden was on vacation and it remains unclear what Harris was doing, although her staff issued a press release.
