On Monday, the son of legendary wrestler Sid Vicious informed fans of the passing of his famous father, and now the exact cause of the wrestler's death has been made public.
“It is with great sadness that I announce that my father, Sid Eudy, has passed away after a multi-year battle with cancer. He was a man of strength, kindness and love, and I will miss him so much,” Eudy wrote on Monday.
He added that the wrestler had been suffering from cancer for “several years.”
According to AL.com, the wrestler's cause of death was entirely Defined.
“Sid was diagnosed with congestive heart failure in 2016 and also developed atrial fibrillation (known as AFIB) around the same time. He also had a pacemaker implanted. In April 2021 he was diagnosed with stage 4 non-Hodgkin's lymphoma suspected to be related to Roundup herbicides,” the wrestler's son wrote on Facebook on Tuesday.
“Syd never told anyone about his battle with cancer but continued to live life to the fullest, hitting the gym, attending boxing classes, performing for his fans and of course playing t-ball matches for his kids,” Gunnar added.
“My father died peacefully in his bed leaving behind a legacy of strength and determination. I have never met anyone with his strength – he was truly one of a kind,” his son said.
Wrestling under the name Sid Vicious, Eudy quickly became one of the wrestling sensations of the 1990s.
Eudy quickly won the WWF Championship, the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, and the USWA Unified World Heavyweight Championship twice each, dominating the Double Crown Series.

Eudy joined the WCE in 1989, then moved to WWE in 1991, where he won the WWE Championship in 1996 and 1997. He then became known as “The Ruler of the World.”
Eudi is survived by his daughters, Sabrina, Gunnar and another son, Frank.
