Rocker Jack White Threatens to Sue Donald Trump for Using His Music

White Stripes frontman Jack White has added his name to the growing list of musicians who are outraged about former President Donald Trump's use of their music in his 2024 election campaign.

The latest disciplinary action came after Margo Martin, Donald Trump's deputy communications director, posted a video on Thursday of the Republican nominee boarding a private jet while the White Stripes' “Seven Nation Army” played.

The guitarist and singer was quick to voice his displeasure, calling the campaign “fascist” and threatening legal action.

He refuted the post. His Instagram pagewho said, “Yeah….you fascists, don't even think about using my music. You will get sued by my lawyers for this (in addition to your 5000 lawsuits). Have a good day at work today, Margo Martin.”

White added, “And as long as I'm here, double damn to Old Don for insulting our nation's veterans at Arlington, you scumbag. This should immediately cost you the vote of every military family, or it means nothing.”

The rock singer also addressed the controversy surrounding Trump's campaign photo op at Arlington National Cemetery.

Margo Martin did not approve of White's harsh response and has already deleted her original post.

White's post came after Swedish pop band ABBA called on the Trump campaign not to use their music in election campaigns.

The Trump campaign played ABBA hits such as “The Winner Takes It All” and “Money, Money, Money” at a July rally in Minnesota, the state with the largest Swedish population in the United States.

In the past few weeks, the Trump campaign has also received angry responses from Celine Dion, Foo Fighters, Beyonce, Johnny Marr of the Smiths and the foundation of the late singer Sinead O'Connor.

The family of the late soul singer Isaac Hayes has previously threatened Trump campaign activists.

During Trump's 2020 presidential campaign, the estates of Phil Collins and the late Tom Petty also sent cease and desist letters to representatives of Trump.
