Two minors were injured in a shooting after a high school football game in New Jersey on Friday night.
The shooting happened around 7:45 p.m. in the parking lot of the Passaic County Technical Institute (PCTI), sources said. He told CBS.
Two juveniles were wounded by gunfire and taken to a local hospital, sources said.
The suspect was detained.
The ages of the three victims and the extent of their injuries are currently unknown.
The shooting happened after a football game between PCTI and Lenape High School, a representative from Lenape High School told CBS.
“All students and staff at Lenape High School (LHS) are safe. We have received reports of a shooting at the conclusion of this evening's football game in Wayne, New Jersey, where two individuals required medical attention,” a spokesperson said in a statement.
“The suspect is in custody. No LHS students or staff were involved in the incident. Our hearts go out to those affected and the Passaic Technical College community.”
PCTI officials did not respond to messages left by The Washington Post.
Witnesses reported hearing as many as six gunshots during the disturbance.
Photos from the scene show that police then sealed off the entrance to PCTI.
The investigation is ongoing.
