Two people were killed when a driver crashed into a Minnesota restaurant patio Sunday night, authorities said.
Three more people were injured in a horrific crash at Park Tavern in St. Louis Park around 8 p.m., city police said. He said.
Police said surveillance video showed the driver, described only as a man, pulling into a parking lot and attempting to park before crashing his car into a patio.
The driver was arrested on a charge of vehicular homicide, but further details about the incident were not immediately released.
The identities of the two dead victims have not been released.
Patio furniture was thrown around and a car with front-end damage was parked on the south side of the outdoor space, according to local news outlet Bring Me the News. Reported.
The restaurant has been around for over 60 years and calls itself a “landmark” in this Minnesota city.

“We're proud of our humble beginnings as a 10-story izakaya with seating for just 50 people, but Park Tavern has grown into a Twin Cities destination, hosting events for up to 500 people,” the restaurant said. The company said on its website.
“It's great to see so many generations of families enjoying themselves here.”
St. Louis Park police said Minnesota State Police were on scene late Sunday and were working to reconstruct the crash scene as the investigation continues.
