JD Vance lays bare the ‘lie at the heart’ of Kamala Harris’ campaign

Republican vice presidential candidate Senator J.D. Vance Vice President Kamala Harris Despite being in office for three and a half years, she has pledged to resolve major election issues if she wins the November election.

“The central lie of Kamala Harris' campaign is that if we elect her, she's going to have policies that are different from previous administrations, policies that have led to higher grocery prices, higher food prices and, of course, an open southern border,” Vance said Tuesday on “The Ingraham Angle.”

“If Kamala Harris thinks these policies will help a lot — and of course most of them are pointless — if she thinks these policies will help a lot, she should try them out now because she's in power now and not promise to do anything in her future tenure that she hasn't done while she's in office now.”

CNN Dana Bash pressured Harris Last week, in his first major interview since becoming the Democratic presidential nominee, he spoke about why certain proposals weren't implemented while he was in office.

“We needed to recover as an economy, and we've done that,” she said, noting the work the Biden-Harris administration has done since the COVID-19 pandemic to restore jobs and keep inflation in check.

“There's still work to be done, but this is good work,” she added.

Harris Announced economic policies At a rally in North Carolina in mid-August, he proposed $25,000 grants for first-time homebuyers, a price lock-in plan for food and groceries, and a $6,000 child tax credit for families with newborns in their first year of life.

“As president, I will tackle the high costs that matter most to most Americans, including food prices. We all know that supply chains shut down and were crippled during the pandemic, causing prices to rise, but while supply chains are improving now, prices are still too high,” she said at the event.

Former President Trump Harris criticized At a rally in Pennsylvania last month, Trump criticized his own economic policies, saying they would lead to “rationing, hunger and high prices.”

“Comrade Kamala announced that he wants to introduce socialist price controls. You know that has never worked before. It has never worked at all,” he said.

“My approach is to just get out there and meet as many people as I can, and I know that's Donald Trump's approach as well,” he said. “We don't speak off a script. We don't just speak in front of a teleprompter. We actually go out and meet people. Making unscripted remarksI've got some press conferences to do, I'll be going out and talking to people, and I'll continue to do that.”

“I don't really have much faith in the polls, even the ones that show we're ahead, and there's been a lot of those lately,” Vance added. “I have faith in the wisdom of the American people and that if we go out and make the case, Don't hide behind the teleprompterBut go out and meet people. The American people are going to elect me and Donald Trump. I have no doubt about that. We just have to do the job. And we have 65 days to do it.”
