Former President Donald Trump has a narrow lead over Vice President Kamala Harris in Michigan, according to recent polls.
WDIV/Detroit News Poll carried out The survey, conducted between August 26 and August 29, found that 44.7% of Michigan “voters” support Trump and 43.5% support Harris.
The poll also found that 4.7 percent of voters supported former independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., 2.3 percent supported a third-party presidential candidate, and 4.8 percent were undecided.

The poll also found that of the 91% of “definite voters,” 45.7% said they would support Harris and 44.1% said they would support Trump, while 3.9% of voters supported Kennedy, 2.3% supported a third-party candidate and 3.9% were undecided.
This comes after ActiVote's previous poll, conducted between July 28 and August 28, 2024, found that 50.1% of “likely to vote” voters supported Harris, while 49.9% expressed support for President Trump.
Another AARP poll, conducted Aug. 7-8, 2024, found Trump leading Harris in Michigan, 45% to 43%, with Kennedy receiving 6% support and Green Party candidate Jill Stein and left-leaning independent presidential candidate Cornel West both tied at 1%.
A recent Reuters/Ipsos poll also found that Trump is leading Harris in seven battleground states, including Wisconsin, Georgia, Arizona, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Michigan and Nevada.
The poll found that in the “seven states where the 2020 election was closest,” the former president was leading Harris 45 percent to 43 percent.
