Trump, Kamala Harris virtually tied in Pennsylvania, Georgia

Former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris are nearly tied in Pennsylvania and Georgia, states that will likely decide the outcome of the 2024 election, according to a poll released Wednesday.

CNN/SSRS Survey In terms of voter turnout, Trump and Harris each have 47% support in Pennsylvania, while the vice president leads the 45th president in Georgia, 48% to 47%.

Of the 35 electoral votes at stake, either candidate would likely win if they win both states that President Biden won in 2020, given the close race.

The Michigan survey found that 4% of voters would back Robert F. Kennedy Jr., an independent who suspended his campaign last month to back Trump but is struggling to remove his name from Michigan's ballot.

Trump is leading Harris within the margin of error in Arizona, with 49% of voters supporting the Republican Party and 44% supporting the Democrat.

In Nevada, Harris is narrowly leading Trump, 48% to 47%.

The poll, conducted after last month's Democratic National Convention and seen by many as Ms Harris' first big opportunity to make her case to voters, suggests the vice president failed to impress enough to take a clear lead over her rivals in key states.

The debate between Harris and Trump, scheduled for Sept. 10 in Philadelphia, will be the next big opportunity for either candidate to extend their lead in the race.
