Former President Donald Trump spoke about the school shooting in the key battleground state of Georgia during a Fox News town hall event and vowed to “heal the world” if re-elected.
“The world is sick and angry for a lot of reasons, but we're going to make it better. We're going to heal the world. We're going to end all the wars that are starting all over the place because of incompetence,” Trump said Wednesday at New Holland Arena in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Fox News' Sean Hannity, who hosted the town hall, cited the tragic and deadly shooting that took place Wednesday morning. Barrow County, Georgia He cited the incident at the high school as well as the tight security surrounding President Trump's public events in the wake of the assassination attempt in July.
“I'm hopeful that we'll do well. We've got an election coming up… I think we're poised to do a great job,” Trump added.

“Within minutes, police were on scene, as were two school resource officers assigned to the school,” Barrow County Sheriff Jud Smith told reporters at a press conference Wednesday afternoon.

“Once officers encountered the suspect, he immediately surrendered to officers and was taken into custody.”

Gray, a high school student, has been charged with murder and will be prosecuted as an adult, Smith said.
President Trump visited the key battleground state of Pennsylvania for a town hall meeting on Wednesday, just under a week before he heads to the Keystone State again to debate Vice President Kamala Harris on Tuesday in Philadelphia.
