Professing ‘Christian’ Steph Curry Endorsing Kamala Harris to Protect Abortion Rights, Despite Nearly Being Aborted Himself

NBA star Stephen Curry has insisted that endorsing Kamala Harris is not a “tough” decision because of Harris' support for abortion, despite Curry having claimed in the past to be a devout Christian and that his mother nearly had an abortion while pregnant with him.

When Curry appeared on CNBC on Wednesday and was asked if it was a “tough” decision to attend last month's Democratic Convention, he said it was actually an easy one. When the CNBC host asked him what issues were important to him, Curry immediately cited abortion, the outlet reported. Mediaite.

“I understand especially with women's rights and what's at stake in this election,” Curry responded, “and I understand that we need to be in a position where women have the right to choose what's right for them, and that's a No. 1 priority for me.”

Appearing in a video broadcast to the Chicago convention, Curry told his followers: “I believe that if Kamala becomes president, we will bring back unity and continue to move our country forward.”

Either way, Curry's laser-like focus on abortion is odd, given that he claims to have become a seriously devout Christian as an adult and started a family.

“I put my followers first because that should be the root of everything I do as a believer, as a husband, as a father and beyond,” Curry said in 2019. Face Wire.

“Faith to me is having faith in things that cannot be seen and having the conviction that there is a higher power that has given me purpose for what I'm doing here on earth. To me, it's the foundation of how I live my life and how I want to see the world through that lens,” he added.

Curry's stance on Harris and her radical policies on abortion is also odd, as his own mother spoke out in 2022 about how she nearly had an abortion before Steph was born, taking her life.

When she had a revelation, she attributed it to God. New York Post It was reported at the time.

“God's just putting it all together and showing me so that I can say, 'Hey, this is the decision I made at this point and he has become a blessing.' I just thank God and tell God it was meant to be this way,” Curry said. “And don't carry judgment. You don't have to carry a lot of judgment forever. Be patient with yourself as you make decisions. But my favorite verse in the Bible says all things work together for good and those who are the called according to God's purpose praise Jesus. It all worked out. You have Stephen and look what he's doing. It's just amazing to me.

Despite all of this, Stephen Curry believes protecting abortion freedom is the most important issue in this election.
