President Biden posed for an awkward photo op at a Pennsylvania fire station on Wednesday with a crowd of children dressed in pro-Donald Trump attire.
The 81-year-old president appeared uncomfortable standing in the middle of about 16 young people, many of them wearing pro-Trump shirts, during a visit to a Shanksville fire station to mark the 23rd anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
The photo is, Preservation influencer Benny Johnson shares on XThe photo shows several kids wearing shirts with Trump's face printed on the front, including one that shows the former president wearing Terminator sunglasses and another that says “I'll be back.”
A reluctant teenager stood far to Biden's left and didn't smile.
Biden brought beer and pizza to a fire station after laying a wreath at a memorial for United Airlines Flight 93, the plane hijacked by al-Qaida terrorists and crashed in rural Pennsylvania after passengers broke into the cockpit.
While at the fire station, a man handed the president a red hat that read “Trump 2024,” and Biden patted it on his head before smiling and handing it back.
Shanksville, located in Somerset County in central Pennsylvania, is a deep red area of the battleground state where more than 77% of voters supported Trump in the 2020 election.
