In God We Trust’ Will Inspire Christians to Vote this Election

1. It offers a new perspective on politics

Slide 1 of 3

Believing in God While offering viewers a fresh perspective on politics, it also hints that America's current political climate is misguided and far from pleasing to God.

“You have to do some negative campaigning,” Hill's campaign manager urged her. “Negative campaigning works. It's what wins.”

Hill rejects the advice of his opponent, State Senator Kane, who is a ruthless politician who will do anything to stop the election. Hill (David A.R. White), a pastor with strong convictions, wants to run a God-honoring campaign, even if it means losing the election.

The tension between Hill and her campaign manager reaches a dramatic peak when she digs up old files on Kane that could land him in prison and potentially win the election, but Hill refuses to use them.

“Let's not talk about this,” Hill says, instructing her to destroy the documents (whose legitimacy will be called into question later in the film).

“I have been telling people that my candidacy is about more than winning elections. If I announce this to the media, my promises will become mere slogans,” he said.

I finished the movie and wanted to vote for Pastor David Hill. No doubt negative ads can be bad at times. do But I think most Americans would prefer a more hopeful approach, one that focuses on problems and solutions, not name-calling and scandal.

After all, if we abandon Christ's principles to further His purposes, we undermine our own faith.
