Voters across the country told Fox News Digital that Taylor Swift's endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris could hold sway among her most die-hard fans.
Voters in Michigan, Texas and Tennessee reacted to Swift's endorsement of Harris, sometimes expressing disappointment at the size of her influence. The pop star has supported Democrats in the past, so her stance was not surprising, but her superstar status and huge following made her endorsement headline news around the world.
“I was so sad to hear about Taylor Swift's announcement. I don't think young people understand as much what's going on,” said Sheri, of Birmingham, Michigan.
“It's a big problem and a shame that people in her position of power and authority are not doing the right thing,” said Gina, a Birmingham voter.

Swift endorsed Democratic candidate Harris just minutes after she was inaugurated as president. Presidential Debate She faced off against her Republican opponent, former President Trump, on Tuesday night.

Mina, of Houston, Texas, said “Swifties” are already a large, mostly liberal demographic.
“I think the majority of Swifties are typically liberals, and they're the ones who would vote for Kamala in the first place,” she said.
Edwin of Knoxville, Tennessee, thinks Swift's support will be well received by younger voters but not by older ones.
“That's probably true for younger voters, 21-year-old, 22-year-old voters, because they tend to look up to what I would call celebrities and what they're voting for,” he said.
Becky, also a Knoxville resident, agrees about the impact the endorsement show has on young voters. “IThat's difficult, but I know she has a tremendous influence on young people.”

“She's a very popular artist, so supporting Kamala will probably upset some of her fans,” Enoch, of Houston, said.
Swift, who supported Joe Biden in 2020 and has been a fierce critic of Trump, urged her followers to register to vote.
“I did my research and I made a choice. Your research is yours and your choice is yours. Also, especially to those voting for the first time, remember you need to register to vote!,” Swift wrote to her 283 million followers. “Also, I think voting early is much easier. I will put links to where to register and early voting dates and info in my stories.”
Swift signed the post, “Taylor Swift, childfree cat lady,” and criticized Trump's vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance, who said in a 2021 interview, “This country is effectively run by childfree cat ladies, through the Democrats and the corporate oligarchy, who are miserable about their lives, they're miserable about the choices they make, so they want to make the whole country miserable too.”
Within minutes, Swift's post had garnered more than 2 million likes, and as of Thursday, it had more than 10 million likes.
