Sen. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on Saturday slammed President Biden's administration for continuing to provide long-range missiles to Ukraine, arguing it is a major escalation of the conflict.
Kennedy, in a statement on Twitter, criticized both Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken. He made the comments in response to reports that the US is expected to authorise Ukraine to launch long-range missile attacks on Russian soil.
“Secretary Blinken, President Biden, STOP! Stop this reckless escalation. I say this not as a political partisan, but simply as a global citizen,” Kennedy wrote.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said his government would “take appropriate decisions based on the threat.”

The United States and other Western countries have banned Ukraine from using NATO-supplied weapons to attack Russian territory and have demanded that they be used only for defensive purposes.

Hoffman said Putin's comments were likely aimed at Biden and his administration, which has repeatedly delayed financial aid to Ukraine.
