The Ravens will look to bounce back from a heartbreaking loss to open the season when they host the Raiders in Baltimore on Sunday.

If the Ravens are going to win their first championship in 2024, they'll have to do it without one of their key defensive players.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh confirmed that first-round draft pick Nate Wiggins will miss Sunday's game against Las Vegas after the cornerback was involved in a car accident on Wednesday.

Wiggins was officially ruled out with a neck injury. He did not practice on Thursday or Friday.

Harbaugh said after Friday's practice that Wiggins was “healthy” and “fine,” but the team opted to keep him on the bench for Sunday's game.

“He's healthy. He's OK,” Harbaugh said. “He's just not available.”

The coach later added that “it doesn't seem to be anything too serious.”

Wiggins is the fourth Ravens player to be involved in a traffic accident this summer, the others including star tight end Mark Andrews and defensive backs Kyle Van Noy and Josh Ross.

Harbaugh suggested the team and doctors are taking a wait-and-see approach.

“Honestly, the doctors don't know, because they're doctors,” Harbaugh said. “We'll see.”
