Former President Trump took to Truth Social on Sunday to voice his dislike for pop superstar Taylor Swift.
“I hate Taylor Swift!” The former president said in his post.
Swift endorsed Harris for Vice President after her debate with Trump earlier this week. In an Instagram post, the “Bejeweled” singer said Harris is a “steadfast, talented leader,” adding that she believes “our country can achieve so much more if led by calm, not chaos.”
Speaking at MTV's 2024 Video Music Awards (VMAs), the night after the debate, Swift urged people to register to vote.
“If you're over 18, please register to vote for other very important things… [the] “Celebrating her presidential election victory, Swift, who won Video of the Year, said: 'Celebrating her presidential election victory, Swift, who won Video of the Year, said: 'Celebrating her presidential election victory, Swift, who won Video of the Year, said: 'Celebrating her presidential election victory, Swift, who won Video of the Year, said: 'Celebrating her presidential election victory, Swift, who won Video of the Year, said: '
In response to Swift's endorsement, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz (Democrat) said, “First of all, I'm incredibly grateful to Taylor Swift.”
“I say that as a cat owner, as a fellow cat owner, those were eloquent and clear words, and that's the courage that America needs to stand up for itself,” Harris' running mate added in the MSNBC interview.
Trump dismissed Swift's endorsement of Harris during an interview on “Fox & Friends” on Wednesday.
“I've never been a fan of Taylor Swift,” Trump said.
“It was only a matter of time. There's no way she would endorse Biden. … But she's a very liberal person,” the former president continued. “She always seems to endorse Democrats, and she's probably going to pay a price for that in the marketplace.”
The Hill has reached out to Swift's representatives for comment.
