Eagles’ A.J. Brown to miss ‘a couple of weeks’ due to hamstring injury

The NFL's injuries continue to grow, and now Eagles star receiver AJ Brown has been added to the list.

ESPN's Lisa Salters reported during “Monday Night Football” that Brown is expected to miss “several weeks” due to a hamstring issue he suffered on Friday.

Salters said Brown called the issue “just something unusual” and that his hamstring became tight while running around.

The star receiver told Salters that he doesn't think the injury is “that serious.”

Brown was listed as a limited participant on the Eagles' injury report on Friday and then over the weekend was ruled unavailable for Monday's game.

NFL Network's Mike Garafolo posted a video of Brown on the field with the Eagles during pregame warmups.

Brown is one of the Eagles' top offensive weapons and showed that in their Week 1 win over the Packers in Brazil.

In the season opener, Brown had five catches for 119 yards and a touchdown in a 34-29 win over Green Bay.

The Eagles hosted the Falcons on Monday night and led 7-6 at halftime.

Brown's absence will be felt Sunday against New Orleans and in Week 4 against Tampa Bay.

Philadelphia will have an off day in Week 5.

However, it remains to be determined whether Brown will return before or after that.
