Monday's MSNBC broadcast of “ReidOut” claimed that the two people who plotted to assassinate former President Donald Trump, a 2024 Republican presidential candidate, were “white American Trump supporters with guns.”
During the show's opening monologue, Reid said, “Instead of embarrassing memes about JD's cat-loving obsession and strange love affair with couches, what better way to do it than to get Americans to post memes about Haitians eating dogs and cats?”
She also said that Trump and his running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), were using the allegation that immigrants were eating pets in Springfield, Ohio, to distract from their own issues on the campaign trail, putting people in the city at risk and laying the groundwork for mass deportations when Trump takes office if elected president in November.
She then concluded: “Trump is facing a second fatal shooting in Palm Beach, Florida, just like the one in Pennsylvania. Neither shooter is Haitian or an immigrant. Both are white, American, and both are Trump supporters with guns.”
