Trump and Kamala neck-and-neck among Georgia voters: poll

A new poll shows former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris are neck and neck in one of the most crucial battleground states in the 2024 presidential election.

According to the poll, about 46.9% of voters currently say they will vote for Trump, compared with 44.4% who say they will vote for Harris.

The margin of error is 3.1 percentage points, meaning the state election is a 50-50 split between the two candidates.

About 7% of voters said they were undecided, while Libertarian Party candidate Chase Oliver and other third-party candidates received support from less than 1%.

According to an AJC poll, inflation is the most important issue for Georgia voters this election cycle.

Inflation is followed by economic concerns and the preservation of democracy, followed by immigration and abortion policy.

The poll was conducted by the Survey Research Center at the University of Georgia's School of Public and International Affairs from September 9 to September 15. 1,000 voters across the state of Georgia were surveyed.

The interviews were conducted by telephone among citizens who voted in the 2020 general election or any election since.
