The New York Police Department is searching for a man who was captured on video randomly punching an 81-year-old woman from behind on Friday.
According to the New York Police Department, the incident was reported on Manhattan's Upper West Side, near West 66th Street and Amsterdam Avenue.
“He didn't steal anything. He just hit me for no reason.”

The video shows an elderly woman walking her white dog being hit from behind by a man dressed in black. The woman hits her head against a building and falls to the ground. Passers-by rush to help the woman, while the assailant calmly walks away.
The woman, who asked to be called only Gloria, Winnie She recounted the incident but said she didn't remember much because she had a concussion and also had bruising on her neck and face.
“My neck was as thick as my face,” she explained. “My nose was broken.”
The New York Police Department said it is investigating the matter and that no arrests have been made so far.
But Gloria said that if the perpetrator is caught, she doesn't want him to go to prison, but rather get professional help.
“It wasn't an attack on me. He was sick and he didn't actually rob me,” she explained. “He didn't steal anything. He just hit me for no reason.”
She also said she would continue to walk her dog.
“I'm not going to hide in my apartment,” she said defiantly.
