Shaquille O'Neal is unfazed.
Just days after fans went wild over photos of the NBA legend getting affectionate with influencer Maria Ozuna-Teachy, O'Neal posted another supposed denial on Instagram.
The video, which Peter Gunz released on Wednesday, shows O'Neal behind a microphone lip-syncing the lyrics to Shaggy's 2000 song “It Wasn't Me,” with the three-word phrase written across it.
“You may not understand the words but you know it's not me @petergunz174,” he captioned the post.
The drama began earlier this week when Teachy shared a photo of her tall suitor putting his large hand on her.
The photo did not show anyone's face, but internet sleuths speculated that it may have shown O'Neal, who is 7ft 1in tall.
O'Neal, 52, responded to the post on World Star's Instagram account, saying: “No, that's not her,” denying that it was him in the picture. According to TMZ:.
The four-time NBA champion posted a video of himself embracing other women on Tuesday and also addressed the incident in an Instagram post.
“Is this also my girlfriend? Trust me, I will let everyone know who my girlfriend is. By the way, my lady's name is Shakira.” O'Neal captioned the video..
In another post, he wrote: “If I fall in love I'll let everyone know.”
But the ordeal didn't end there, as Teachey shared footage suggesting he visited O'Neal's room at Harrah's in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Photo by The Shade Room.
“Hey kids, those were the days,” she apparently wrote in the caption of the Instagram post. “Why did he lie to everyone?”
While it remains to be seen whether new chapters will be written in this saga, O'Neal's personal life is frequently the subject of online discussion.
He made headlines last June when he was spotted out to dinner in Beverly Hills with Brittany Renner. TMZ reports At the time, “it was just two friends catching up.”
