Former President Donald Trump received a higher favorability rating than Taylor Swift. The New York Times, of Philadelphia InquirerUniversity of Siena.
The results of the opinion poll are as follows: release Thursday's poll found that 47% of respondents have a favorable opinion of Trump and 44% have a favorable view of Swift. The poll surveyed more than 2,400 voters.
The results are the latest sign that Taylor Swift's recent endorsement of Kamala Harris isn't living up to expectations.
According to an ABC News/Ipsos poll released Sunday, only 6% of respondents said the pop star's support for Kamala Harris would make them more likely to vote for her, while 13% said it would make them less likely to support her, while a majority, 81%, said it had no effect either way.
A separate YouGov poll also found that Taylor Swift's support hasn't had the impact the left had hoped.
Just 8% of respondents said Swift's endorsement would make them “somewhat” or “a lot” more likely to vote for Kamala Harris, while 20% said it would make them “somewhat” or “a lot” more likely to vote for former President Donald Trump.
Thursday's poll found Kamala Harris received a favorable rating from 48% of respondents, statistically tied with Trump.
Taylor Swift's support has been in constant media coverage since the pop star posted a message on Instagram shortly after the presidential debate last week, in which she announced that she would be voting for Kamala Harris, but tempered her enthusiasm by urging her millions of fans to do their own research and vote how they want.
Her support has been muted because the Gaza war has left her unpopular among many young progressive voters, many of whom have turned to alternatives such as the Green Party's Jill Stein.
