ABBA's Bjorn Ulvaeus married his partner in a ceremony officiated by TV presenter Sandi Toksvig.
The 79-year-old Swedish singer, who has been married twice before, met Christina Sass in Nuremberg, Germany in 2021 in connection with the release of ABBA's latest album, “Voyage.”
A post on his Instagram page read, “Today, 21 September 2024, Björn Ulvaeus married Christina Sass from Herning, Denmark. The couple met in Nuremberg in 2021 in conjunction with the release of ABBA's latest album, Voyage, and began dating in Spring 2022.”

“The wedding took place in Copenhagen in front of close friends and family. Sandi Toksvig, Anne Linet and Kaja Brüel performed graciously and made the evening special.”
Ulvaeus posted photos from the day, one of which shows former Great British Bake Off presenter Toksvig in a red robe, standing next to Ulvaeus, who is dressed in a suit, and his wife, who is wearing a muted green wrap dress.
A representative for Ulvaeus confirmed to the PA news agency that Toksvig had hosted the ceremony.
Ulvaeus is best known as one-quarter of ABBA, the Swedish pop group that celebrated the 50th anniversary of their Eurovision Song Contest win in Waterloo this year.
The group originally consisted of two couples: Ulvaeus and Agnetha Fältskog, and Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad. Fältskog and Ulvaeus married in 1971 and divorced in 1980, while Andersson and Lyngstad divorced in 1981, a year before the band broke up.
The quartet did not reunite to perform at Eurovision this year, despite the event being held in Sweden after Loreen won in 2023 with his hit single “Tattoo.” Ulvaeus was previously married to Lena Karasjö.
