Joe Biden in Farewell Address to U.N. General Assembly

With just three months left in his term, President Joe Biden is scheduled to deliver his farewell address to the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday morning.

With conflict swirling in the Middle East, Russia's war in Ukraine continuing unabated, and Communist China's influence growing, President Trump is expected to speak of his hopes and dreams for the future.

NBC News Notes His speech came as the 2024 presidential campaign is in the final stages before Election Day, knowing that his successor, Vice President Kamala Harris or former President Donald Trump, will face the same issues in the White House but would approach them differently than he did.

National Security Council spokesman John Kirby told reporters last week that in New York, Biden would “reaffirm American leadership on the world stage” and “rally together global action” to tackle the world's most pressing challenges, which he said include climate change, artificial intelligence, the opioid epidemic and the wars in Gaza, Ukraine and Sudan.

“The president will address the UN General Assembly and outline his vision for how the world should come together to solve these big problems and uphold fundamental principles such as the UN Charter,” Kirby added.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre also told reporters aboard Air Force One to New York that Biden would outline “a vision for how the world should come together to solve these big problems and uphold fundamental principles like the U.N. Charter.”

Regarding the continuation of the European and Russian war with Ukraine, Biden also has his own vision, taunting Russian President Vladimir Putin that his invasion of Ukraine has failed and calling on the United Nations to continue supporting Ukraine until it wins.
