A Marist Sunbelt States Poll released Thursday found that former President Trump has a one-point lead over Vice President Harris among voters in Arizona and Georgia, while the two candidates are neck and neck in North Carolina.
In Arizona, Trump received the support of 50% of voters compared to Harris' 49%, and Harris led Trump among independents in the state, 51% to 47%.
In Arizona, Trump narrowly outperformed Harris among white and Latino voters, receiving 51 percent support among white voters to Harris' 48 percent, and 51 percent support among Latino voters to Harris' 49 percent.
In Arizona, Trump led among men with 53 percent to Harris' 46 percent, while Harris led among women with 52 percent to Trump's 47 percent.
Trump also led Harris by one point in Georgia, where he received 50% of voters' support to her 49%. Harris led Trump by five points among Georgia independents, 51% to 46%.
In Georgia, Trump has a large lead among white voters, 66 percent, to Harris's 34 percent, while Harris has an even larger lead among black voters, 86 percent to 13 percent.
In Georgia, Trump beat Harris among men, 56 percent to 42 percent, but Harris beat Trump among women, 54 percent to 44 percent.
In North Carolina, Trump and Harris each received the support of 49 percent of voters. Harris and Trump were also tied among independents, with 48 percent each. Trump led Harris among white voters, 59 percent to 40 percent, but Harris far outpaced Trump among black voters, 86 percent to 13 percent.
In North Carolina, Trump led among men with 54 percent to Harris' 44 percent, but among women, Harris led with 54 percent to Trump's 45 percent.
The Marist poll was conducted September 19-24. The Arizona survey included 1,524 adults and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points. The Georgia survey included 1,514 adults and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points. The North Carolina survey included 1,605 adults and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.4 percentage points.
