President Joe Biden (Democratic Party) announced Thursday night that his administration would tighten gun regulations, while claiming that the United States is responsible for all but three mass shootings.
Biden is talking “I've been to all but three mass shootings in the United States,” he said of “spending time with surviving family members.”
Please understand that the National Firearms Act (1934) was passed in part because of the St. Valentine Massacre in 1929. Seven people were killed in that shooting, but Biden couldn't have been “there” until 1942 because he wasn't born until 1942. That one.
In September 1949, a mass shooting occurred in Camden, New Jersey, killing 13 people. Biden has not said whether he was “there” for that.
On August 1, 1966, a gunman opened fire from the towers of the University of Texas. The shooting occurred around the time Biden was transferring from the University of Delaware to Syracuse University, so it's hard to understand how he could have been “on the scene” at the incident.
To take a different approach, Axios used the same data that Democrats and gun control groups rely on. report There will be 656 mass shootings in the United States in 2023. Was Biden “present” in all of them as well?
