Radio Stations Ban Green Day After Frontman Billie Joe Armstrong Calls Las Vegas ‘Worst S**tHole in America’

A Las Vegas radio station has banned Green Day from performing after frontman Billie Joe Armstrong called Las Vegas “America's worst shithole” during a recent performance.

Even though Armstrong's comments were related to his opinions on The A's plans to leave Oakland and move to Las Vegas, the Green Day frontman was full of expletives. He chose to destroy the entire city with his abusive words.

“I hate Las Vegas. It's the worst shithole in America,” Armstrong said during a Green Day concert in the Bay Area.

Radio stations in the Las Vegas area responded to Armstrong's comments by announcing their decision to ban Green Day songs.

“X107.5 is taking action after Billie Joe Armstrong called Las Vegas 'America's worst shithole,'” radio station X107.5 announced on the X-Post.

“We are banning all Green Day music from our stations! Carlota announced it this morning. No more Green Day on X107.5!,” the station added.

Meanwhile, KOMP 92.3 also announced that they would be removing Green Day from their station.

“This pisses me off because Las Vegas has always embraced Green Day since the early '90s. We've always shown them love,” the KOMP 92.3 radio host said. video in the radio station's Facebook post.

“But this behavior makes sense coming from a 52-year-old so-called punk rocker who knows he's a fraud. He often admits that he hasn't played punk rock in over 30 years. I know and it kills me,” the radio host added.

Armstrong, who was once furious with the machines politically, now furious with them with his anti-Trump rhetoric, finds himself in the same camp as none other than former Vice President Dick Cheney. When you think about it, the KOMP 92.3 radio host has a point. Many people on social media have pointed this out recently.

As Breitbart News reported, Armstrong told concertgoers in Cincinnati, Ohio last month that he was “tired of division” and that his concerts were “not a political party.” However, just before that, he sang, “I'm not a party member,'' denying his idea. “It's on the MAGA agenda,” he said during a performance of “American Idiot.”

This comes after the Green Day frontman held up what looked like a rubber Trump head and threw it into the audience during a concert in Washington, D.C., one day after President Trump survived an assassination attempt. It happened within a month.

Armstrong is just the latest famous musician to find himself in a quagmire for trolling America. Rapper Macklemore has recently been banned from shows and performances after saying “fuck America” during a pro-Palestinian concert in Seattle.
