Bears players meet with offensive coordinator over frustration

The Chicago Bears aren't waiting for the problem to get worse.

According to Fox Sports' Jay Glazer40-year-old tight end Marcedes Lewis, positionmate and starter Cole Kmet, and rookie starting QB Caleb Williams met with Bears offensive coordinator Shane Waldron to discuss the team's early-season offensive struggles. We talked.

“We're not a Pop Warner team. You have to coach us.'' According to Glazer, Lewis said in a meeting, “Coach me even though it's my 19th year. Please, please guide me even though I'm a newbie.''

It was difficult for the Bears to pick up points to start the season.

The team entered Sunday's home game against the Rams with a 1-2 record and had only eclipsed the 20-point mark once.

Bears punter Torrie Taylor has already punted 15 times through three contests.

Williams had limited offensive output, completing 70 passes on 118 attempts for 630 passing yards, two touchdowns, and four interceptions.

DJ Moore, the Bears' leading receiver, had just 19 catches for 167 yards.

The team also wasn't very productive on the ground, racking up just 218 rushing yards on 72 carries.

Of note, starting running back D'Andre Swift gained 68 rushing yards on 37 carries.

Chicago led Los Angeles 10-6 at halftime Sunday despite only having 97 yards of offense.
