Idaho teacher pleads guilty to rape of boy who was adopted days before sexual assault

A former school teacher in Idaho will be sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to raping a boy he adopted days before the sexual assault.

Lawson admitted to picking up the boy from his home, taking him there and providing him with alcohol, according to court documents. However, she denied providing the boy with marijuana, but admitted there was marijuana in her home.

The victim's father said his child was adopted days before the crime was discovered and the victim was raised in a foster home.

The boy's parents argued there was a double standard in the case because Lawson is a woman.
