ABC’s Linsey Davis Likens Walz Debate Performance to Biden June Debate Effort

On Tuesday, after the vice presidential debate ended, ABC News' Lindsey Davis, one of the moderators of last month's presidential debate, said she was still disappointed in the performance of Democratic vice presidential candidate Gov. Tim Walz (D-Minnesota). He said there is much to look forward to.

Davis said Walz's efforts are similar to President Joe Biden's debate performance in June, which led to Biden withdrawing from the presidential race.

“[I] All things considered tonight, if you're an undecided voter in America, I don't think you can come to any clearer conclusions tonight. It kind of reminded me of when Kamala Harris said of Joe Biden in the June 27 debate that he “started slow but finished strong.” And that's how I felt Tim Walz did it tonight. In Tim Walz's own words, much of this debate tonight was strange. There were some uncomfortable and disgusting moments. But overall, the lesson I learned was what Reince Priebus said at the beginning: J.D. Vance needs to come off as that humble, likable guy from Hillbilly Elegy. I think it meant that there was. It looked like maybe he scored some points in that area. ”
