Caitlin Clark played basketball for almost 12 months straight, and it was a great year.

From breaking the NCAA all-time scoring record in women's college basketball to being the No. 1 overall pick in the WNBA Draft to leading the Indiana Fever to 20 wins and the postseason, Clark has clearly set the basketball world on fire and is firmly in her place. I continued to maintain it. An interesting thing happens during the summer, when sports typically hit a plateau.

Clark began reflecting on the last 11 months of her life, posting a message to her fans.

“1st year (check) – I would like to thank the many people who supported me as I was able to realize my childhood dream. When I look back on this past year of my life, I'm full of gratitude. See you again.'' 2nd year. ”

What's next for Clark? Perhaps it's a real break from the game she's been dominating for the past few months.

Clark had been playing basketball since October 15, 2023, when the Iowa Hawkeyes began an exhibition game against the DePaul Blue Demons. She took a few days off between the National Championship and the WNBA Draft, and then a few more days off between the draft and her. First practice with Fever.

The Fever started at 1-8 as the team tried to add Clark to the offensive line. Indiana went 11-15 during the Olympic hiatus, but the team appeared to be working in the gym.

Indiana was firing on all cylinders, winning seven of its first eight games after returning from hiatus. The Fever earned the No. 6 seed in the playoffs, but were swept by the Connecticut Sun.

Clark averaged 19.2 points, 8.4 assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game. She was named the AP WNBA Rookie of the Year and finished fourth in WNBA MVP voting.
