According to a report on Saturday, Democratic vice presidential candidate Gov. Tim Walz (D-Minnesota) is scheduled to give his first solo interview on FOX News Sunday at 2 p.m. on October 6th. announcement.
Shannon Bream will ask questions about the state of the campaign, the September vice presidential debate and other news of the day, the paper said.
Waltz has recently received attention from some media outlets due to his lack of appearances.
“I'm a little perplexed that neither the presidential candidate nor the vice presidential candidate has been on TV since they became candidates,” CNN's Jake Tapper said ahead of the vice presidential debate earlier this week. Knowing you, they hadn't spent much time with either of them before. So I also think it might be a little problematic that Waltz didn't do this. ”
Walz came under fire after facing off against Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), with some observers saying he was less sophisticated than his opponent.
CNN's Dana Bash said after the debate: “I think the fact that he's given so few interviews with national and local media indicates that he needs more reps.'' ” he said.
Prior to the debate, Walz responded to a joint interview that Bash conducted with Vice President Harris in August.
The Harris campaign did not release any information about the interview before the station's announcement.
