prime minister netanyahu [translated from Hebrew]:

“I am here with IDF soldiers on the northern border. A few meters from here, just across the border, their fellow soldiers are fighting for Hezbollah to attack our communities. The terrorist infrastructure that was prepared is being dismantled.

“I told them: You are heroes who deserve praise. You have done amazing things in Gaza, in Judea, in Samaria, together with your fellow soldiers, IDF fighters and security forces across the region. You are lions.

“One year ago, we suffered a terrible blow. In the 12 months since then, we have completely changed our reality. I salute you and say to you: You are the victorious generation.

“With the help of G-d, we fight together and together we win.”

Maj. Gen. Godin made a personal visit to southern Lebanon on Saturday, reflecting on the lower Israeli villages that Hezbollah has bombarded for nearly a year, forcing the evacuation of more than 60,000 local residents.
