SiriusXM radio host Howard Stern suggested on Tuesday that there will be a climate catastrophe if Vice President Kamala Harris doesn't win the 2024 election.
In an hour-long live interview with the Democratic presidential candidate, Stern repeatedly criticized Harris' opponent, former President Trump, and expressed his disbelief that anyone would vote for him. At one point, he claimed that the sun would “disappear” if Trump was re-elected.
“There's all this pressure on us right now, so we have to win, we have no choice but to do it,” he told Harris. “I truly believe that we are in for the darkest skies on Earth, where the sun will literally disappear. God bless you for making this happen,” he said of his presidential bid. ” he said.
At one point, Stern said he didn't even like a comedian playing Harris on “Saturday Night Live” because “there's so much at stake” in the election.

“I don't like it. I don't want to be made fun of,” Stern told Harris about Maya Rudolph's performance on “Saturday Night Live.”
“There is too much at stake. I believe that right now, the entire future of this nation of the brave, the home of the free, is literally at stake.”
Harris found the depiction interesting, but confessed that she was “literally losing sleep” over “what's at stake in this election.”
“I end up almost every day these days thinking, 'What more can I do?' The stakes are so high,” she told Stern.
At another point, Stern defended the idea of people going to therapy, asking Harris if it could give them a “relief” from the pressure they're under at a therapist's office.
“This is my therapy now, Howard,” Harris joked, explaining that she relied on her friends and husband for support when she needed someone to talk to.

(Harris also appeared on “The View” on Tuesday.)
Stern and Harris' interview discussed the vice president's career as a prosecutor, her relationship with her husband, Doug Emhoff, her promise to include a Republican in her Cabinet if elected, and whether voters are ready to elect a female presidential candidate. Discussions were also raised about whether or not this was done.
The softball interview comes after Stern told an audience last month that he hates Trump supporters.
“I don't agree with Trump politically. I don't think he should be anywhere near the White House. I don't hate this person. I hate the people who vote for him. They're stupid. I think, 'I don't respect you, to be honest,' he said on his show in September.
Harris' appearance on Stern's show came after she gave a friendly interview on ABC's “The View.” Her friendly media blitz continues Tuesday night on “The Late Show,” where she will be interviewed by Democratic supporter and comedian Stephen Colbert.
