A Pennsylvania teenager remains hospitalized four days after collapsing during a game. Carter Mason suffered a “severe helmet injury” on Oct. 4 during a Rochester High School football game.

“We're just taking it from day to day,” Carter's uncle, Dean Friend, said from Carter's bedside in a video updated Sunday.

“Carter is making good progress,” added Sandra Friend. “He's responding to some commands, he's saying words when he stands up, and he can sit down a little bit. We're hopeful that things will go well.”
