Fernando Tatis Jr. favored ahead of Aaron Judge, Juan Soto

It may be the MLB Playoff Division Series, but the World Series MVP odds are already out.

Padres red-hot superstar Fernando Tatis Jr. is the favorite to win World Series MVP at Bet365 Sportsbook with +800 odds, ahead of Aaron Judge (11/1) and Juan Soto (12/1) follows.

Oddsmakers still expect Judge, who has struggled dramatically in the playoffs in recent years, to turn things around if the Yankees qualify for the World Series.

Tatis is being favored for hitting another home run against the Dodgers and leading his team to a 2-1 series lead in the best-of-five against the Dodgers.

San Diego is looking to qualify for the NLCS for the second time in three years, and it's no coincidence that they are the World Series favorites across the sports betting market.

For those who want to bet on other teams in the Big Apple, Francisco Lindor is the Mets' favorite to win World Series MVP at odds of 14/1.

The next Met in terms of World Series MVP odds is Pete Alonso to win at 30/1.

Historically, the award has been mostly random, with stars Corey Seager winning in 2023 and 2020, Jeremy Peña winning in 2022, and Jorge Soler winning in 2021.

Stephen Strasburg was the last pitcher to win in 2019, and Steve Pierce was another surprise winner for the Red Sox in 2018.

Perhaps once the NLCS is complete, it would be best to back up the hottest hitters entering the game.
