Watch live: Ruben Gallego, Kari Lake face off in Arizona Senate debate

Rep. Ruben Gallego (D) and Rep. Kari Lake, who are in a tight race to replace retiring independent Sen. Kyrsten Sinema in the Senate, will take the stage for Wednesday night's debate.

Recent polls show Gallego leading Lake, who is backed by former President Trump, by 10 points, 52% to 42%.

The Hill/Decision Desk Headquarters polling index in the Grand Canyon state, where early voting began Wednesday, shows the Arizona Democratic Party leading by just over 8 points, with 50.1% of voters compared to 41.9% for former news broadcasters. It is gaining support.

Lake announced Wednesday that he plans to vote early on Thursday, despite previously criticizing the practice.

The forum was held after Gallego's campaign shared that it had raised nearly $22 million in the third quarter of this year's fundraising. It's unclear how much Lake raised, but candidates have until Oct. 15 to submit third-quarter numbers.
