Jets’ Haason Reddick dumped by agency in latest holdout twist

The bizarre Haason Reddick contract holdout just got even stranger.

Redick's agency, CAA, has parted ways with the disgruntled defender, sources confirmed.

The Jets always felt Redick's agent wanted to get a deal done, but Redick didn't do it.

Mr. Reddick's resistance has now cost him about $9 million.

This is one of the strangest contract holds anyone can remember around the NFL.

The Jets traded Redick in late March, acquiring him from the Eagles for a conditional third-round pick in 2026.

Reddick traveled to Florham Park for physical and virtual press conferences but has not returned since.

He requested a trade in August, but Jets general manager Joe Douglas immediately said the Jets would not trade him.

The Jets have repeatedly said they welcome Redick whenever he shows up.

Jets owner Woody Johnson said this week.

However, Redick has shown no desire to end the contractual conflict.

The Jets had 18 sacks without him, led by second-year defensive end Will McDonald with six.

If Redick does not report at all this season, his contract will be void and the Jets will retain his rights into 2025.

Redick was scheduled to make $14.25 million in the final year of his contract with the Eagles.

However, he has already had his check for five games revoked in addition to the fine he received for missing training camp and minicamp.
