Trump calls for Harris to take cognitive test after criticism of his medical records

Former President Trump announced early Monday morning that Vice President Harris has cognitive impairment, as the Harris campaign has accused her of refusing to release detailed medical records of herself and questioning her fitness to serve as president. He said he should get tested.

President Trump: “I believe it's very important that Kamala Harris pass cognitive and agility tests.'' Posted on Truth Socialmade unsubstantiated claims and claimed that “her actions led many to believe there could be something very wrong with her.”

President Trump reiterated his claim that “60 Minutes'' improperly changed Harris' answers about Israel in an interview last week. The network aired Harris' full response in a preview clip posted online, and aired Harris' shorter, more concise answers on the subject during the entire broadcast.

“She is also slow and lethargic in answering even the simplest questions,” President Trump wrote. “We just went through it for almost four years. We don't want to go through it again!”

The former president's comments came as the Harris campaign sought to spotlight President Trump's mental strength three weeks before Election Day.

Harris released her medical history on Saturday, saying she was in “excellent health” and had the physical and mental resilience needed to be president. She pressured President Trump to do the same. Trump, 78, said in August that he would be “willing” to release his medical records, but he has not yet done so.

“Here's the thing. It makes me wonder and it makes me wonder,” Harris said Sunday in North Carolina. “Why does his staff want him to hide? One has to wonder: Are they afraid that people will see him as too weak and unstable?” I wonder?”

The Trump campaign has given no indication that it will share the former president's medical records in the coming weeks, instead providing a health update on how he is recovering from an ear wound he suffered after being shot in July. pointed out. The spokesperson also cited President Trump's grueling election schedule as evidence of his suitability for the presidency.

The former president has routinely sought to cast doubt on the mental sanity of his political opponents. In 2016, 2020 and earlier this year, Trump called on his Democratic rivals to take drug tests ahead of debates and baselessly claimed they might be taking performance-enhancing drugs.

The Hill has reached out to the Harris campaign for comment on Trump's latest post.
