JD Vance embarrasses ABC News anchor for downplaying migrant gang crime to slam Trump — and he gets her to make big admission

Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sen. J.D. Vance was stunned this weekend when ABC News anchor Martha Raddatz downplayed the influence of Venezuelan gangs in Colorado.

An apartment complex in Aurora, Colorado, became the center of national controversy in August after a video went viral showing heavily armed men storming the premises. Local residents complained that members of the violent Venezuelan street gang Torren de Aragua had taken over the premises.

Meanwhile, city leaders denied that parts of Aurora had been taken over. However, at least one person seen in a video circulated at the apartment complex reportedly admitted to having a relationship with Torren de Aragua. Yes, the city has a problem with gangs.

“Only a handful of apartment buildings in America have been taken over by Venezuelan gangs, and the problem is Donald Trump and not Kamala Harris’ open borders?!”

On Sunday, Raddatz demanded that Vance respond to Donald Trump's comments about the situation.

Raddatz said Trump claimed Aurora was “invaded and conquered by Venezuelan gangs.” However, the ABC News host added that the Aurora mayor denied Trump's claims.

“Do you support Donald Trump’s claims that the Republican mayor has grossly exaggerated and undermined the city’s identity and safety?” Raddatz asked Vance.

At first, Vance answered with kid gloves, hinting at his dissatisfaction with the question.

“Martha, you said the mayor was exaggerating. So there must be an element of truth here,” he pointed out. “Of course, President Trump was actually in Aurora, Colorado, talking to people there. Of course, Martha, what we're hearing is that people are concerned about what happened with some of the gangs in Venezuela. It means you are afraid.”

However, Raddatz ignored the issues raised by Vance and claimed to know the truth about what was happening on the surface of Aurora.

“Senator Vance, I'm going to stop you. I know exactly what happened. I'm going to stop you,” Raddatz boasted. “The incident was isolated to a small number of apartment complexes, and the mayor said dedicated police officers acted in response to these concerns. The problem is small.”

In response, Vance accused Raddatz of downplaying the Aurora issue.

“Just?! Martha, can you hear me?!” Vance shot back. “Only a handful of apartment buildings in America have been taken over by Venezuelan gangs, and the problem is Donald Trump and not Kamala Harris’ open borders?!

“Americans are so fed up with what's going on, and they have every right to be. And Martha, I think this exchange is so interesting because you're so disgusted with what Donald Trump is saying. “In the United States, apartment complexes are taken over by violent gangs,” he continued.

Unfortunately, Mr. Raddatz did not provide a substantive response to Mr. Vance. Instead, she just doubled down.

“Let's end by saying, like Donald Trump said, they didn't invade or occupy cities,” the host said.

“There are some apartment complexes, but not much,” Vance snorted.
