Aaron Rodgers got his wish (again).
It's been several weeks since Raiders star wide receiver Davante Adams requested a trade. las vegas raiders and new york jets A deal was made, sending the superstar receiver back to Green Bay's former QB Aaron Rodgers.
New York sends a conditional third-round pick to Las Vegas in a trade that could potentially go to No. 2 based on individual play, but the biggest thing the Jets are doing is shouldering Adams' entire salary. This is another challenge in trade negotiations that New York could bring in given its cap space.
New York made this trade after another disappointing loss in prime time, falling 23-20. buffalo bills. The offense still looks disjointed, with Rodgers not building trust with WR Mike Williams, the biggest example of which is a deep interception to end the game. Now with Adams in the fold, the offense will be even more efficient under him.
For the Jets, a 2-4 team on the verge of collapse, this trade should catapult them over the top. New York has already fired head coach Robert Saleh after a poor start, but the season isn't over yet. Only five AFC teams enter Week 7 with more wins than the Jets.
In a good but very flawed AFC, this trade could be enough to give Rodgers and the offense a much-needed boost.
