CNN anchor John Berman and Rep. Mike Walz (R-Fla.) spoke Tuesday morning about political terms such as “fascist” and “socialist” that have been used to describe the two presidential candidates. There was a tense exchange over harsh words.
At a recent rally in Erie, Pennsylvania, Vice President Kamala Harris played a mashup of clips of President Trump warning of danger from the “enemy within.”
“The worst people are the enemy from within…Those people are more dangerous than Russia or China, they are the enemy from within. President Trump summed it up. Some of the television clips were played.
In recent comments on the matter to FOX Business' Maria Bartiromo, President Trump spoke of such “enemies” and said that China and Russia are sometimes “dangerous” to deal with, but that “we will deal with them.” It's the crazy people we support that are more difficult to deal with,” he quipped. He has an inner Adam Schiff. ”

Schiff is a congressman from Burbank, California, who is currently the Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate against Republican retired MLB star Steve Garvey.
In an interview on CNN News Central, Berman asked Walz whether Trump was “responsible” for making such comments.
Walz claimed President Trump was talking about issues that are “toxic” to American democracy and undermine public trust in the system. For example, they claimed that Mr. Schiff, the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, leaked information from segregated hearings and lied to the public during public hearings.
Berman then referenced the “lunatic” comment directed at Schiff and suggested that President Trump might also be discussing dealing with “lunatics” in a hypothetical military deployment.
“John, on this network people are calling Trump Hitler and the next dictator coming, and two people are trying to kill him. The Iranians are trying to kill him. A foreign enemy is trying to kill him. We're talking about him trying to assassinate someone.'' Playing music at a rally,'' Walz said.
Berman said it was essential to talk about the fiery rhetoric directed at Trump, but acknowledged that Walz himself has suggested that Harris is a “socialist.”

“So these phrases are actually being thrown around,” Berman added.
Walz said socialism is a “long-standing political ideology” and is very different from Trump's claims that he would be “the world's most terrifying dictator” or Hitler. Walz also argued that such language radicalizes people's behavior.
He also noted that some members of Congress refer to themselves as “democratic socialists,” and argued that Berman was not making a “fair comparison.”
“You don't?” asked the barman. “You talk about Marxism. You talk about socialism. And do you think Kamala Harris is a Marxist or a socialist?”

Walz said he believes Marxism “underpins” some of Harris' policies, such as price controls.
Berman then went on to discuss Walz's comments about Harris; Retired General Mark Milley Remarks about Mr. Trump.
According to journalist Bob Woodward's new book, Milley said, “There is no one more dangerous to this country than Donald Trump…I now know he is a total fascist. He is a dangerous person,'' he said.
“He's saying Donald Trump supports fascist policies,” Berman said. “It's a political ideology. Fascism is a political ideology.”
