American surfer Bethany Hamilton seeks support, treatment advice for hospitalized family member

American surfing icon Bethany Hamilton recently revealed heartbreaking news about a member of her family.

Hamilton revealed in a social media post that her nephew Andrew was found unconscious in a bathtub on October 11. Andrew was rushed to a hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii, where he received treatment. Ms Hamilton wrote that her nephew “still has a heartbeat”, but acknowledged he faces a difficult road ahead.

Mr Hamilton asked for prayers and support as the whole family tries to get through this difficult situation.

“Please help!! My precious nephew drowned last night and was saved this morning by Kapiolani on Oahu. He still has a heartbeat and is fighting inside.” hamilton wrote In a post shared on Instagram.

To ensure that Andrew receives the best possible treatment, Mr Hamilton is seeking help from experts and others who can provide sound advice on possible alternative treatments.
