Former Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has not spoken to President Joe Biden since helping him resign.
busy With Jonathan Friedland guardian on him political weekly america Nancy Pelosi said on her podcast that she has not spoken to the soon-to-be former president since the day he advised her not to run for re-election.
“Not since then, no,” she said. “But I continue to pray about it.”
Pelosi said she had the “utmost respect” for Biden.
“I have the utmost respect for him. I think he is one of the presidents who has done great things for our country,” she said. “I think his legacy should have been preserved. While the election was going on, I didn't see anything like that happening. My call was just to 'move on in a better direction. It was “Sho”. He will make the decision as to what that is. And he made that decision. But I think he has insecurities because we've been friends for decades.
“An election is a decision,” she added. “You decide to win. I decided a while ago that Donald Trump would never step foot in the White House again as President of the United States or in any other capacity… So when you make that decision… must make every decision in favor of winning…and most importantly, every important decision is made by the candidate.”
In the same interview, Pelosi said she would never use Trump's name as a bad word.
“I hardly say his name,” she said. “I think [Trump is] Grotesque words…you just don't like the way those words pass your mouth. However, that is not the case. Unfortunately, when I grew up Catholic, just like now, if you said something wrong, you could burn in hell if you didn't have a chance to confess. That's why I don't want to miss the opportunity. ”
“It's like a swear word,” she added.
