He continued, “They don't really teach you that if you try hard enough, you can grow into incredibly deep intimacy and love. Sure, people go through testing times, but when You have a choice. You can move on, you can ultimately divorce, or you can use that as a take-off place and really give in to each other. ”
When they found themselves in a tough situation, which Bridges described as a “primordial battle,” he said, “The essence of it was, 'You don't understand, you don't understand what it feels like for me to interact with you. 'That means,' he explained. ”

He told People in 2022 that the ordeal “brought him to the brink of death.”
Thankfully, he recovered and was able to walk down the aisle with his youngest son, Hailey, in tow for their 2021 wedding.
