Breitbart News economics editor John Carney told Fox Business Network's “The Bottom Line” Wednesday that union members are seeing their wages decimated by inflation under the Biden-Harris administration. He said he felt it.
Co-host Sean Duffy said, “We're seeing unions. They don't support Trump, or they may support Trump, but they're moving away from the Democratic Party. This is… It's consistent with the conversations that Donald Trump has had with the media and the American people about tariffs: These workers are asking you to protect American workers, or at least have fairer trade with the rest of the world. I think that's why they're supporting Trump over Harris. Am I wrong?”
“No, that's absolutely true,” Carney said. “Look, they know Donald Trump is going to defend American workers. They've seen what happened to their wages. They're very worried that the same thing will happen again.”
He added: 'Remember, one of the things unions do is give workers multi-year contracts, but then they have to worry about what inflation is going to be. Inflation has been absolutely devastating for longshoremen and autoworkers, and under Kamala Harris and Joe Biden, inflation has hit a 40-year high, which has really cost them. That's why they asked for such a large increase.”
