Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling’s kids aren’t allowed on social media, smartphones

Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling's daughters may have access to Hollywood's hottest couple, but they don't have time for social media or smartphones.

In a new interview with Sunday TimesMendez talked about why her homeschooled daughters Esmeralda, 10, and Amada, 8, are growing up a little differently than many children their age.

Mendez said her approach to parenting is based on “conscious parenting,” which prioritizes parent-child relationships over following rules.

“I still have this anxiety, and I feel like I'm passing it on to my kids,” Mendes admitted. “Unconsciously, I can't imagine anything they inherited from me that I wouldn't want them to inherit.”

That said, Mendes chooses not to discuss body concerns or aging around her children, and insists her sisters follow that rule.

“It won't be long before I can control this narrative. They're reaching that age.”

Mendes echoed similar sentiments in an interview on Good Morning America last month, revealing that she may never return to acting.
